I am currently in the process of trying to improve my sewing and hand
sewing techniques. I currently have my Bachelors in Costume Design and
Construction, however I think I need to polish my sewing abilities, especially
those that I use for the SCA.
I also love to teach, and enjoy teaching sewing. I have a lot of friends
whom I sew for, or have been teaching how to sew (including my non-sewing
fighter of a BF/Consort). I know there are quite a few people out there
who don't know how to sew, and can use some additional help.
Originally I thought I would create a sewing tutorial for fighters. However,
I think there are those who play in the SCA who aren't fighters and who
need help sewing as well. Therefore, I will start with generic sewing
instructions, and might do a fighter specific one latter.
I am currently writing these in the order I think people should learn
them. Each class/lesson will build off the one in front of it. Each one
will also have instructions for an SCA themed project to go with it.
As of right now, I will not be putting the class handouts online, however
I will be posting the items I have learned and the progress of the classes.
If you have an event where you would like to have one of these classes
taught, simply email me. If
it is in my power to make it, I will.
